Thread: Looking for weekly pickup game in L.A. area

Hey guys, just putting this out there. Anybody know of any cool/chill weekly pickup games that need a goalie? I'm looking for the general L.A. area (pickwick, Valley ice, TSC, Ice Station), night time, cool guys/gals who aren't aggro and a bunch of gym class heroes. Any help would be greatly appreciated!

Try Monday night pickups at Bay Harbor in Harbor City. I have some buddys who play and ive heard them say they have had games with no goalies.

you can also ask John Bryan to get on his goalie rotation for Friday AMs at TSC

pickwick has a Wednesday late night that has an hour of drills and a 2hour ish pick up game after you might want to try out.

On the average, how many people show up
and how much is it?

I believe drills go from 10-11pm. They zam the ice, then pick up (auto shift change after a couple minutes.)

I haven't gone lately, but I heard they have had to turn people away for being full (30 skaters max.) If you want to play, get there by 8:45 or so to sign up.

They started a Friday afternoon pickup, since there were so many people showing up recently. However, I don't know the time.

On another note, I am considering putting together a weekly pick up. Ideally, I would like to rent the back ice at Valley Ice and get a nice 4-4 action going. I'll start a thread and see what the interest level is. I def. have some teammates who would be down. I figure I'd do it if at least 10 people constantly show up...
