Thread: May 7th Midnight Pickup Game at Toyota Sports Center

I just think trying to get enough people for this Saturday is cutting it pretty tight. I even think getting enough for the 11th will be tough. Unfortunately I'm not free for the next few Saturdays after that. If you can get something together at another rink by all means do so. I think everyone just wants to play, as do I. I'm more than happy passing the reigns off, and I'm not having much luck getting this one together. If I can still get the 11th and there is enough interest we'll do it, otherwise best to start thinking about other options.

If it makes anyone feel better, I plan on putting 2 games together for July (because Shart is in town and I LIVE to schedule his vacation)....July 16 and July 23.

I'm taking June off as game planner.

If they give you the 11th we will fill it up.
And if they don't, then we'll worry abt finding another spot.

There are enough of us to fill a game in burbank or pasadena or van nuys or valley ice center, and I don't think anyone would accuse you of taking anything away from any other game if you were to pick a rink and time for LGKers and friends to get together and play. There is no reason that we couldn't have more than one game being planned at a time in this forum without hurting anyones feelings.
Once somebody chooses a time and place we never have a problem filling the ice with skaters, so anyone should feel free to pick a rink and time and start a thread.
You have my official permission to plan a pickup game anywhere/anytime you want, and I will help you fill the roster if it doesn't fill itself up here.


Disclaimer: My 'official permission' is not official in any capacity. And I have no idea what hurts peoples feelings so if I'm off base here and there is a reason why more people couldn't plan games in this forum in addition to the regular TSC game, someone else will have to clear that up. But I do know that there are a bunch of players who don't have a regular game outside of the LGK pickups and would be happy to play more often.
