Thread: Messier Project helmets

Anyone use these? I'm looking at new helmets and I'm liking some of the Rbk ones but I've heard these are good and in doing some research I like what I'm hearing. I know Mark is a pretty big advocate for improving head protection for players and preventing concussions and such so I'd imagine his company has done their homework.

Just looking for some actual testimony on them...

Kevin Westgarth wears them...but 150 for a helmet is absurd. I love ccm helmets

Yeah, I'm a CCM whore, EVERYTHING except for my jock shorts and sticks are CCM. I'm about to buy some CCM skates to....but to get a CCM helmet to the quality I want it, I'm looking at 120 or so anyway for the V10....if these Messier helmets are that much better I'll drop the extra.

Screw it, go opposite! Go Jofa Gretzky helmet! I remember back in the mid 90's when they still had these in hockey catalogs for sale it said in bold letters "NOT FOR HOCKEY USE, NOT APPROVED, RECOMMENDED FOR BROOMBALL" hahaha.

Sadly I had one of these as a kid. Considering that my step dad played pro hockey should've known damn well that this was a horrible helmet....I'm pretty sure my parents were sending me a not so subtle message that I only started to understand at an older age.

Funny how this is not just the sentiment of one person but so many will shell out more for a stick that may last one game. It's your head and your life, why not have the best protection available?
