Default New Shop in Los Alamitos

    http://www.hockeytron.com/

    Who is Hockeytron?

We are the founders, former owners, CEOs, general managers, and web designers of HockeyGiant, HockeyMonkey, Play It Again Sports, and Hockey Plus. We voluntarily left to do hockey retail and internet right!

    What is Our Mission?

Our mission is to deliver you the best quality products at the best prices. Our exclusive products are manufactured in the same location and in similar factories as those used by the top hockey overpriced manufacturers. Why purchase our competitorsí equipment at retail prices when you can purchase our branded products at wholesale, for half the price? Why not cut out the middle man and buy direct!

    Our New Location!

We are very proud to announce the grand opening of our new store, the first of its kind in the industry, which will be followed by numerous stores across the country. Our new Los Alamitos location is by far the largest and most beautiful hockey store in the country at 14,500 square feet and in a state of the art facility. We carry both our brands as well as those of our competitors. Once you compare our quality and prices, you will never shop other retailers again!

    What is Market Price?

You will see this term used throughout the website. Market Price is what an equipment item will cost you. Example, for sticks it would be the weight, carbon content, graphics, etc. We at HockeyTron.com donít want to fool you by putting regular and sale prices on every item.

Looks nice, but I did a quick compare on only a few items (skates) and they were priced higher. I used to live right down the street years ago. Maybe I will go by the next time I am in the area.

Anyone been to the actual store ? Homer is correct on prices. Not enough to make a huge difference though.

Looks like D&R and the Tron branded gear will be discounted.

Orange County needs a third hockey superstore? (while the valley has 1 and LA/South Bay has 0)

Looks a little sparse judging by the bottom picture here ...

Good point, too bad they couldn't find an empty space in the South Bay, I heard Discount Hockey in the valley is no more.

Their site is still up. The last time I was in there though it looked pretty unorganized with equipment boxed to the ceiling.

    Discount Hockey still exists, but

It's just a small industrial warehouse building and not much selection...difficult to browse because stuff is just thrown haphazardly in the back and you have to walk over boxes, etc. I've been there a couple of times and bought a few things, but I'm not a huge fan.
Too bad the shop (not a warehouse) they used to have on Ventura Blvd was pretty good.

I think DH do most their business online, so they don't keep much physically in stock.

FAIL on having another store in OC. The drive down there sucks. Wish there was a HG or HM in the valley.
