New Steel Needed for my CCM 852 Super Tacks
Well the time has come for me to get new steel runners for my beloved 852 Super Tacks. Does anyone know what type I need for these skates, and where I can get it. I have a new season starting in like a week and a half, and would love to have them (obviously) for the start of the new season. Would any of the CCM steel runners work? I know they have the prolite-3 holders.

CCM Proformance Profile Steel Runner
If you are going to DIY you might consider getting these and don't tighten them to hard, in fact when they screw stops, stop turning. Ad a bit of lock tite to keep them snug.

You will need to get them sharpened and may have to pay extra for the first onw unless HM can send them sharpened.

How many sharpenings do you typically get out of a set of steels?

I took them to Golden Bear and they had an extra set lying around there. They had the Perforated steel, not the solid piece, because for my skates they are becoming harder to find. (Hockeymonkey was out of the 280 size)

Great, glad you were able to give them business...
