The problem I heard was that when Nike bought Bauer/Cooper, they didn't retain their design departments, and brought in all new people who didn't know what the hell they were doing. That's what I've heard happened in the goalie division, at least. That's why their gear tended to be hit-or-miss.
As long as the new owners bring in some good hockey minds, I look forward to what they put out in the future.

Hell yeah. . .those Mega's were the best pair of skates I ever owned. I'm still looking for something that comes close those. They were the only skate I've ever had that felt perfect the first time I skated on them. I guess the last pair of Bauer Vapors I bought were okay but the Nike's I bought to replace them just never felt right, like the blades weren't centered right. But hey, they look cool, right? :29smile:Quote:
