In for both the tourney (if anyone will have me) and the game.
I meant it affectionately.
I'll bring some Amstel Lights ma'am.
I have to wait for my league schedule to come out b4 I can commit.
it depends on how things shake, but Ive committed to a team that is coming down from the 805 that I played with at NARCh winternats. They had never done a tournament before and were completely in over their heads til about the last game because of the difference in skill level. I consistently saw 40-50 shots per game, and the games were only 36 minutes. They were solid intermediate women playing against a bunch of teenaged advanced tournament girls and it showed. However, they were the nicest chillest group of no drama chicks I have ever had the pleasure of backstopping. It was probably the most fun I had at a tournament since the 90's.
Now, this tournament will have a division for them so the competition will be fair and Im sure the teams will be more even. Right now, it's looking like there are going to be FOUR divisions for women, so parity is pretty damned guaranteed. They might come down as Beginner 1 or Intermediate. If they play intermediate, they might need a forward or two to complete the roster since they won't be bringing their whole team. If they play B1, Im gonna see about putting together my own Intermediate or Advanced team... depending on how much I feel like working and who I get.
On top of that, there are a couple other Intermediate teams that I have friends on that will be rolling with a low (6-7) roster that might want the extra skater.
Either way, there's gonna be a place for you somewhere if you want it. Hockey, Charity, In n Out down the street and alcohol in the parking lot all weekend. There's really no way to lose!!
