Okay, I'm not fooling anybody, given the time change and the fact that I work today and tomorrow at 7:00am, I'd be way too tired tonight to come out and play... does anyone know of any other rinks that have beginner-friendly pickups? Or are most pickups considered open to all skill levels?
I might be able to make it out to the Sunday night Culver rink a time or two (next week, maybe), but I also want to find one that I can go to regularly that works with my schedule...

3) Call Burbank Pickwick Ice to see if they still have 1 hour skills-n-drills + 1 hour pickup (talent sorted itself out so that "A" people played with "A" people and "B" with "B" alternating shifts). Used to be on Wed 10pm-midnight and some Sundays during the morning or early afternoon.
All public pickups are open skill level.
John Bryan is a prick. I dislike that guy and several players on his team The Castle. That idiot has no respect for anyone. He has twice, two handed a teammate over the head with his stick this season. Also, just this last Saturday he kicked me as I skated past him. He was lucky, I had #72's number that night.
The Castle #72, If you read this I'm sorry I cleaned your clock. But you deserved it. Next time, I hope you will think before you dis-respect an opponent.
On the advice of a fellow LGK'r, I will edit my post.
I highly recommend that people do not attend Mr. Bryan's pick up's. By attending this man's activities you fully support his dis-respect for other players of the game.
Another alternative is Southern California Ice Hockey which runs a good pick up for skaters learning to play. They enforce play time which gives the beginner's a decent amount of ice time.
