The pickup is not listed on the website, but it happens every sunday night, you can always call earlier in the day to confirm, but it is every sunday night at 10:45 pm


It's a great pickup, in my opinion, always has at least 1 goalie, it will usually have 2 but lately it's been hard to get the other goalies because the showing hasn't been too good. There are wide range players but for the most part its pretty much intermediate, and all players are welcome, and it's always a lot of good guys, so whether youre just starting, or have been playing a while just come on down and see bernie, he's the older guy that runs it and is extremely nice, always wears yellow jersey.

10:45 pm-12 midnight sunday nights at Culver city ice costs 15$.

Cool. Thanks. I was wondering. It's been a while for me and the pick up LGK roller game got me interested in playing again.

I'm not very good and have played exactly one game on ice, but in that game I hit a post and only fell over once. Can I play?

I'm in the Sunday night class at Culver....if it wasn't for that, I might be up for a Sunday late-night pickup! But hockey twice in one day is a little insane if you ask me.

How decent is your skating?

Bernie is probably 80 years old and he usually comes out for a few shifts and the pre-scrimmage. There is another guy who is older as well but not as old as Bernie. So this is not extremely "high level", so to speak.

You will get all the ice time you can handle, but I wouldn't want you to feel "out of the play" as most guys there are at least okay skaters.

If you are unsure of your skating, then I would also recommend going out to a few sticktimes. They have some on sunday mornings at Culver.

You can always just come on down and check it out. It's only 15 bucks so what have you got to lose!

But to add, none of the guys I've seen show up are the type to get on a newbie's case, so I'd say you are definitely welcome.

Do goalies play free? Might start playing when I get back in shape.

I believe so, as that's how pretty much every pickup i've seen thus far is, but im not 100%.

Cool. My skating is okay, and like you said it couldn't hurt to come out and give it a shot for just $15, so I might just come by this Sunday.
