    Default Playing At Staples Center.

I'm playing at Staples Center April 3rd after the Kings and Sucks game, and I'm trying to find out the details on how something like this works. So, I have just a few questions for those who have done something like this, and I know a few of you did this on the 18th. Was the ice re-surfaced, where did you put your gear before the game, what locker room(s) were you in, and when did you start getting your gear on? If someone can help answering these questions and offering any other info that would be greatly appreciated. Thanks.

you'll go down with 10 minutes to go in the 3rd period (or so), ice will be resurfaced, you'll have some makeshift areas to put on your gear.

tell your goalies to be ready to not have posts though (my biggest pet peeve), and BRING WATER. it is extremely hot on the ice surface.

So no pegs for the post? Where do we take our gear before the Kings' game?

You drop it off by the convention centre which is where I'd park if I was you.

I was really surprised at this when I played there a while back. All I could think was WTF? I'm freezing in the seats, but the bench is aboot 95 deg. It just made me shake my head.

I think it is 2 parts - 1, the lights are hot as all get out. 2, I think they turn the air down.

kind of like standing on stage - hot as shiz.

Agreed. Plus I got a sick deal on warrior jerseys with that technology that keeps the wet out, which make me burn up! The ice is VERY hard and rough as well so keep that in mind. I will say it was a dream come true and I spent more time looking around then playing well.

if you want details feel free to hit me up. I was in charge of the event on the 18th and have played there a bunch of times. It is hot because of the 20,000 people who were filling the building along with the bright lights reflecting off the surface.

The ice is of varying quality when you play after the game. Just hope that the Kings game does not run late or they will half-ass the resurfacing and may try and boot you off the ice early.

It is much better to play before than after in terms of ice quality.

You are generally supposed to supply the pucks but i got the Kings to take care of it for me.

You will probably hear different things from people who are of varying levels regarding ice-quality. For novice players not used to playing on high-quality ice it can take a little getting used to.

Any questions or if you guys need help PM me on here.
