I wasn't thinking of the other stuff that came with the faceoffs, and am already against anything more than a guy to drop the puck after goals.
If anyone feels strongly against having the faceoffs, I think that's probably a good enough reason to scratch the Idea. I'm definitely not trying to ruin what we've got going on.
I didn't think anyone who wasn't playing would have any reason to vote one way or the other, but now that it's been brought up...
It is election day, and I'm hitting the campaign trail.
We havent had a ref in a while. It might be fun for a change.
We could keep score by giving the ref all the pucks and they grab a new one when someone scores. Count the pucks in each net at the end. (Crude, I know)
I just don't want to see a bunch of stoppages of play is all. Having faceoffs/stoppages only after goals could help 'formalize' the start of play after a goal too. That time always seems a bit off with half of each team going for a change and one team trying to start the breakout.
Los, then you have never played in a game where CBGB reffed. He understands the ice time and such, and he keeps the flow of the game going. Really he stands out of the way and understands the whole pick up thing. Not a lot of stops except after a score
