The previous Corona rinks were much smaller.

I think I'm playing at 949 from now on.

those previous owners did nothing to improve the rink. it was very mismanaged (to the point where one of them is incarcerated.)

give this rink one season. if you hate it, then stick to 949.

I know the building is smaller than the OG AHC, and theyre doing everything they can to maximize the space available... When I talked to Ben B, there was no mention of making the rinks smaller. Perhaps it was something that was being thrown around but in the end not a necessity???

    Anyone else hear anything?
This isn't something I'm sure they'd like to advertise so I would guess that's why Ben didn't spit out that info.. I specifically asked that question and he reluctantly answered yes, but he did make sure he told me that it's a very minimal size difference... Just wondering if anyone noticed... I guess you didn't really notice.

IMO, I always thought that the back rink at AHC OC was a bit smaller, or maybe narrower than the front rink. With that said, it seemed to me the rink we played on Saturday(Rink 2 in the back) felt to be about the same size as the smaller one in OC. Of course, I could be wrong about the rink sizes at the old place, but that's how it felt to me. I guess when others play there and skate they'll know better, but since I play goal I'm not positive. Since the two rinks in Corona are right on top of each other it just seems cramped and smaller.

At AHC I believe you can rent rink time at 150/hour, otherwise they have open pick-up on Fridays from 3-5, which isn't exactly ideal for the workin folks out there. They do not have public skates or such as far as I know.

I think they have one a great job to give us another place to play rather than fold shop. The rinks seem to be about the same size or slightly bigger than previous rinks were in the same building and they are also just a close to each other as well.I hope they do well and are around for a long time, i really missed playing in that building.

I meant the rinks are smaller than they were at AHC... Not the previous corona operation...

hmm, I would say the biggest negative is that it's in Corona.

One thing that they could improve on is having like a 5 minute warm up and maybe like a 2 intermission.Right now I believe it's a one minute warm up & 45 second intermission.Come on now, right now the format is 2 20 minute periods so adding the extra 7 minutes won't really squeeze them for time.

I found the lack of warm up time on Saturday ridiculous, especially after 3 months of not playing. Hopefully today will be better.
