On thursday we had a 3 minute warm up and 1 minute intermission. Maybe it was just last saturday and they were working out the kinks. What team are you on??

Oh, I know they (and expect them to) charge $$$ for sticktime. I just wonder if it's only during strict time periods, or if the inline rink is available for that purpose whenever there is no other activity.
Ice rinks have to have sticktime during strict time periods, because (a) ice rinks are generally booked solid, and (b) the cost of the refrigeration plant is not trivial. Inline rinks don't have those problems, and TSC, even as nice a facility as it is, their inline rink is unused 95% of the day.
Sticktime is open practice time to work on individual skills like skating, stickhandling, shooting, etc., not for pickup games. Most ice rinks charge individuals $7-$15 for 1-1.5 hours. Group rental fees are a completely different animal.
I remember the guys saying something about open stick time a few nights a week once they got their leagues all in order and finished the schedules. My husband plays this afternoon, I'll be sure to ask them if they have any idea about the days/cost for p/u yet.![]()
I play for the Puckhawgs on Saturdays. This past weekend we had a longer warm-up period, I'm not sure exactly how long, but it was enough for me to get warmed up in goal. We also had two games whiich was a little unusual for this early in the season, especially since there are an even amout of teams, so I'm assuming there will a Saturday with no games somewhere in the future.
My hope for Week 3 is that they get some stick racks in the locker rooms.
