Anaheim location was fantastic...
The owners of the building screwed the Rink out of their lease. They used a loophole in the contract to sell the building and gave the hockey rink 90 days to vacate the facility. Due to lack of other options with real estate being the way it was in 2007, the rink owners went to the only available facility that was feasible in the short time frame... Corona Inline.
Long story that cant be made short... but fast forward to today and it is a nearly $3 Million dollar facility that is just waiting on the glorious City of Corona to approve their permits so they can put in the damned elevator and finish the pro shop. ( mhihi: )
West Covina is serviceable. It is a covered outdoor rink that swelters and hold heat in anywhere over 75 degrees. It is completely at the mercy of the elements... if its breezy, the rinks are dirty and people eat it and the glare off the rink between 4:30-6 is blindingly attrocious for goalies trying to track a puck. Plus side, it is cheaper that TSC or Corona... but I dont think $4 should be the breaking point between choices.
Also, if TSC is out of the question, I'd like to throw a bone to Blueline if he would be coming and cut his drive by two hours. He always troops from Palm Springs to TSC without much complaint, so I think it would be nice to give the guy a break...but that could just be me.
