My brother and I will most probably be coming next time. Is there any specific color we should wear? We only play with skates, stick, and gloves.

Momma always said "bring both light and dark jerseys to a game".
I have not been out there in a while but intend on playing there soon.
All I can say is:
- Great group of people
- Unless you have shin of steel, like some that play. I myself play
with old street hockey shin guards, soccer shin guards will do. No
slashing happens but you never know what the puck/stick will do.
- Keep in mind, the Rose Bowl area on a daily basis, is a very populated
venue. Keep your head up, cars and people frequently enter the playing
zone. There are no boundaries.
- Puck tends to roll at random.
- Expect bad playing surfaces after the 2nd Sunday of every month due to
the swap meet.
- Definitely change your wheel for outdoor skating.
- You might want to think twice about wearing a jersey. It's starting to get
to the hotter months, you might want to think light and dark T-shirts.
- Bottom line is, if you are looking to get some exercise and fun, you have
found it.
PTDP, I can't believe you forgot to include all the eye candy running/walking around the Rose Bowl during our games. For shame. And get your ass out there soon!
Now that Brian moved away is this still going on???? Rob did you take over?? With school over and the sun out it's about time I get my arse back out there.![]()
I have not taken it over, but it's still happening every week. Next week (but will usually be the first Wednesday of each month), there will be an attempt to rent rink time in West Covina just to take the game indoors every few weeks. Other than those days, we'll still be out at the Rose Bowl every Wednesday. Sign up for the Rowl Bowl Hockey group through Yahoo groups and you'll get emails regarding each week's game.

Hey guys, Its been a long ass time since played with you guys. I think not until the season at West Covina ended in October or something like that. But anyway, how's everything going? I want to come out this Wednesday to dust the cobbwebs off my skates. Brian are you still here or did you already move to New York?
Like Rob said, I'm in Indiana now, getting my ass handed to me every week by 18 year old kids that have played hockey their whole lives. Totally different game out here. The game is very structured and organized. There's actual strategy in the offensive zone, rather than just the type of game that we would play in West Covina. I'm actually really happy I'm playing out here. It's making me see the game from a different perspective.
33isgod, get your ass to the Rose Bowl. You too Carly! Miss ya, Rob! I hear the Highlanders are doing well this season! Good luck at Championship Sunday this weekend!!!!!
