First off, a little background on me. I'm a goalie, and I have large equipment. My bag, even filled to capacity (37" leg pads, XL goal pants, glove, blocker, skates, XL chest protector, mask, assorted jeresys, underwear, and supplies) can still fit some more equipment. The bag is ginormous, big enough to fit a couple bodies in (should I need to), can be a pain to lift into the bed of my truck, can be unweildy at times, gets caught in doorways, and takes up a lot of room on the lockerroom floor.

I say all this because, unless you're a goalie with large ass equipment, you DO NOT need a bag that large. It will only get in your way. For me, I like having all my equipment in one bag, so it works for me. But I doubt a bag that large would be practical for you.
    37" legpads you say?

    Hey there...

I also heard that his cup is roughly the size of a youth football helmet.

So it seems like everyone has their own opinions on what size bag is sufficient. So i reckon ill just see what they have in stock within my price range and make a last minute decision.

However knowing how I am the 40" doesnt sound bad since im famous for always having "just in case" things in my other bags ie: paintball, Football(in hs), and everywhere else. Like tools and anything else that I think i might need on a rainy day. I'm also not a fan of playing tetris with my gear after a game when im all tired and such. We'll see how it goes i suppose.

I bought an Easton bag with wheels OVER 5 years ago and it's still going strong. I replaced the wheels this year because one of them cracked, but that was under $5 so the bag has been well worth the price.

Also, go for a big bag if you have space to store it and don't drive a tiny car. It's always good to have extra room in your bag -- mine usually ends up bringing a 12-pack of beer.

Well i made the trip down to Monkey yesterday and ended up getting the 36" CCM Vector 3 wheeled bag for $60. Turns out they dont have any of the 40" bags in the store and i'd have to order one if i wanted a 40". Since Monkey is an hour away without traffic (and how often does that happen??) i wasnt about to drive down there again any time soon. Looks like everything should fit if i put it in strategically. Hopefully it works out well for me.

I i also bought a pair of Bauer XXXX elbow pads, Bauer XXV knee/shin guards, outdoor wheels for my inlines, and a black practice jersey.

As always the guys down there were extremely helpful and informative.

Only a few more pieces and i'll be ready for war, assuming my ice lessons continue to go well lol.

Thanks to everyone for your info and help so far on here!

and i've got 3 wheels for extra crushing power.

The Natural put it best, there's absolutely no logical reason NOT to have a rolling bag.
