Yeah that's what I started doing the last couple games and almost exclusively last night. I had about 5 shots and 3 of them were pretty nice, especially this wierd angle backhand I took coming off the right post, it went over the blocker side shoulder and then clank! on the other side corner post. I guess its just not my time right now.
Just remember: 100% of the shots you dont take wont go in. Tee it up every chance you get.
Yeah that's what I keep telling myself. Theres the possibility that I'm thinking about it too much and its getting inside my head now...I think I just need to relax a little bit and realize that the weight of the world isn't on my shoulders...I just feel like I'm not doing my job you know as a winger. I'm a good two way player and I'm very good on the the back and forecheck so maybe i just need to take pride in that for now (cause that is important) and hopefully the goals will come.
I've been having issues as well as of late. Normally a 2-3 point/gamer, I had one assist last week, and nothing this week.
Getting plenty of chances and either getting effing robbed, or grazing the outside of the post. Had 4 or 5 of those Monday alone.
Sometimes you just get those droughts. Just means a flood is on its way.
Keep shooting, but don't take too many completely absurd shots. Just get back to what worked in the past. If you wanna be drastic, change up your dressing/warmup routine, or even switch sticks. The latter may take a game or two to get used to, but it'll work, guaranteed.
Sand Bagga 4 Life!!!
Anyways, yes, I am, though I didn't get the response I'd hoped from others. Out of the 27 people I texted, 3 said yes. Oh well, more bacon and Pixi Stix for me.
Best way to get out of a slump is try to have as much fun as you can out on the ice or less then acceptable substitute.
