I've heard of Hockey Monkey, but my friend was just there to buy some skates and he had a horrible experience--he ended up at the pro shop at Westminister ice (purchased a pair of Eastons).

Team LA has better Graf prices than Monkey. I know there are many who try Graf that don't like them but they are worth a try. I was a Tuuk guy my whole life but feel much more agile on my Cobra's...

Are the Cobras more forward leaning than the Tuuks?

During my first skate I felt like was falling forward for a few minutes. By the end of my first game I didn't feel that way anymore and now I really enjoy them, like I mentioned earlier they really feel good now.

I have heard Grafs are awesome, that being said I also believe that skates are like cars and everyone will have a different opinion based on their individual experience. Foot size, shape and skating abilities all play into the best skate for you! Shop around and try on a bunch of pairs. Good luck and don't give up, it can be an arduous process.
