It's been years, and I mean like over a decade, since I've been but Chicks Sporting Goods had an extensive collection of hockey equipment. The address and phone number to the one I used to go to is:

    23081 Savi Ranch Parkway
    Yorba Linda, CA 92887

    714-685-7802

Here is also the link to their website:
    http://www.chickssportinggoods.com/

They've got stores in Los Angeles, Orange County, Inland Empire, and San Diego.

    Hope this helps.

You got any of the following?

    phone
    snail mail addy
    website addy

Even just the city would help. "Hockey Central" is too vague for Google to help narrow the search. Thanks.

EDIT: Never mind, SirJW comes to the rescue.

re: Chicks seems that most big box sport shops in SoCal don't carry much if any hockey gear anymore...

I'm thinking mostly hockey .... places where you'd expect them to have a skate sharpening machine (and somebody semi-competent to run it) ... I'm sensing that this Chick's place and/or PIA doesn't fit that criteria, yes?

Whereas HockeyGiant & HockeyMonkey do: 90% hockey, with a smattering of Baseball & Lacrosse off in the corner, and certainly expert skate sharpening.

This is great list! Especially since I'm considering getting all my gear upgraded at the moment.

Who has the best prices for new equipment? And anyone know if any of them have any sales going on right now?

AB I would go to Hawk Hockey (aka Hockey Monkey). They have an awesome selection of all ranges of gear, plus the staff is knowledgeable on the equipment
