Sunday Night Pick up Culver City
Hey Guys I run the sunday night pickup at culver from 1045pm-1215am and need another steady goalie. Its been a battle trying to keep goalies since the ice was really bad in the crease and the time is not the best if you gotta wake up early but now the ice is fixed finally they snaked the pipe and the divot than ran the goal line is gone. we've been doing ok until one of our regular goalies had some work scheduling issues. right now I have two goalies that are regular but we like 3 just in case. If anyone wants to come skate goalie or otherwise let me know. we usually have room usually run about 17-20 guys. we use frozen pucks and throw tunes on the PA system while we play. Also its a private run pickup we've been doing it for more than 40 years Bernie passed away couple years ago due to a collision with a figure skater but his friend have kept it going. call me for info not the rink.

Half of us are advance and the other half is intermediate with may 2 or 3 guys who have just started out. we mix the lines up, it gives the intermediate and novice guys a chance to challenge themselves and build skills. works out really good as the new guys learn how to become part of a play and they surprise and get some wicked goals. best part is the tunes it keeps everything moving quick. I forget if it was in this forum or another but someone felt that since we have a gentleman in his 70s that plays with that the skill level must be low, well he hangs with us quick guys and he is one of the kings team doctors... cost is 15 bucks and if you know you're going to make it the whole month you can pay 50 for the whole month even if there's 5 Sundays.

Try the Southern California Goalie Sub board on Facebook. I'll post a link later.
