Treadmill or Stationary Bike??
I began playing hockey in the good 'ol midwest recently and I'm looking to get into better shape. I'm thinking of getting a treadmill or a stationary bike to help me get in the best shape possible. I need something low impact, but able to get my heart going and build a good sweat. Which should I get and why? Which, if either, do you use?
Thanks!

Between those two choices stationary bike. So much easier to watch TV with.

Well, I do want to lose some weight and work on my stamina and overall hockey shape. I'm thinking of buying the bike and will have to use the treadmill here at my Apt. I can't believe my gym at my apt. doesnt have a damn bike.

I agree with the majority here, the bike.
It is lower impact and since you already have the treadmill at the gym, it seems like a no-brainer to me.

I personally find the bike pretty useless. The treadmill, though it is more high-impact, will get you in shape much faster. Another idea is the elliptical, which is less-impact than a treadmill, but still better than the bike.

Treadmill is way better...Really, It is the only way to go. Nothing better. Best work out. Holds your drink. Etc Etc, OH, did I mention I have one for sale?? haaaa, I prefer the bike but the treadmill is ok...just too boring..I have a better treadmill outside my house with better views- It's called a sidewalk..
