Thread: Updated-Want to play hockey but cant skate? South OC street hockey

Hmmm....

Once again, for you folks that have always wanted to play hockey but cant skate or roller blade-this should be a real fun time. Tell your friends...Ill probably bring one or two of the neighborhood kids. Trust me, you will never get a less intimidating enviroment to come out and pass and shoot the ball around then this. And its free.

Ive got some extra sticks for those who need one so dont be afraid to ask...any chance we can line up two goalies or at least get 2 sets of equipment and maybe take turns between the pipes?

I am in for sure if it is week after superbowl..I live in RSM and about 2 miles from that intersection although I am not familiar with any rinks up there? I know of the nice roller rink in RSM by Target on Santa Marg Pkwy but it is always locked. Are these ones in Foothill have boards, goals etc?? I may have to drive by and check out tomorrow..

Also, keep me informed of future games..I also have extra sticks and a ton of different types of street pucks..FYI==If you don't have enough guys, using a ball makes you run alot..I have those flat plastic pucks that are same shape and size of regular ice pucks but lighter and softer...Those tend to work well if short on players and old like me that don't have the lung capacity and drink beers between periods or drinking while playing goalie!!!!

If it's the Sunday after the Superbowl, that is the 8th and not the 9th. Unfortunately I won't be able to play on the 8th. Any other Sunday should be good for me, I just already have something going on that day. If anything changes I'll let you know but for now I can't play. Sorry.

Anyway we can still use your goalie equipment?

I just got my ice team's schedule and I have 2 games that day/ First game at 12:30 next game at 10 pm

Yeah, I don't see why not. I'll see about trying to get it to you before hand.

Ok stupid ?? what is the official date?? I see two dates tossed around and I need to make sure I can go and baby sit the monkey kids.. I'm play with them.. ummm keep them company or get my fat ass out there and play some too..LOL
