Thread: Updated-Want to play hockey but cant skate? South OC street hockey

Theres a local park up the street from my house with 2 rinks that are never used. its got a nice playground area for the kids and restrooms and what not.

So if you ever wanted to play hockey but cant skate....heres your chance for a good old fashioned game of street hockey(or shoe hockey in some areas).

The Rink is in South OC....but free. All you bring is some shoes and maybe shin pads and/or gloves but thats all optional. Ive got some extra sticks and the rink already has nets. Im thinking a saturday or sunday afternoon in 2 or 3 weeks to give us some settup time.

Anyone interested? Great opportunity for first timers or people who always wanted to play but didnt have the equipment or skills. With the playground you can bring the family and let the kids play while you get to shoot the puck or ball around.


Mitch, Psychopuck? Are you guys in?

Also, if anyone wants to play goalie or has pads and wants to let someone else give it a go please let us know.

I just bought outdoor wheels. Im terrible at roller. Id still come slap the puck around. Just say when and where and if I can make it, Ill show.

Is this on shoes instead of skates? I might be down to play. I have some roller hockey goalie equipment if you need a goalie. Where is the rink at exactly?

yup. I believe the rink is in a park in Lake Forest. hip could probably tell us tonight.

Lake Forest is just a bit too far for me. Keep me informed on how it goes.
