Thread: USA hockey registration

Anyone else get walloped by USA Hockey? just had to re-up for my beer league and now not only is the fee $40 but there's an affiliate fee as well. WTF? was $30 or so last time right?

yup, i believe last year's fee was $30 or $35.

i also was bent over when i renewed mine on saturday night. they better include a free t-shirt along with that magazine with this increase!

Yeah, it was upped. Its worse if you start in a spring/summer league too since the registrations expire in August.

Agreed, that is a bunch of crap if you ask me. It should be quarterly or something, having to pay the full USA Hockey amount, for a 14week season (give a week or two) is weak.

This registration just now will be good until next August, so it's only really a hit if you first sign up for a spring/summer season. I think part of it too is your on-ice insurance for the year long span in case of injury, not just a way to bilk more cash out of you.

Ouch. Kinda glad that I play at TSC. No USA Hockey registration required.
