    Fan4Life check your email.

In order for this to happen we need to start by sending in the Non refundable deposit,
then we can get the registration forms. This needs to be done asap, only4 spots left.
Right now we stand at 6 players and a goalie. I think to make this happen, we would need
at least 8-9 players. By having fewer players say 9, the price of each player increases
(I haven't done the math, but somewhere around $250 ea not including hotel)

I just don't see this happening.

I'm getting ready for a move to Washington and will probably have just gotten up there around that time, I will do some number crunching/forecasting and see if I can pull it off. My interest is to do it, jsut have to see if its practical. You can 50/50 me as of right now.

    Alright...

TO NO FAULT OF ANYONE IN THIS THREAD OR POTENTIALLY ON THIS TOURNAMENT TEAM:

The above was only in all caps because I really want it understood that I understand first of all the difficulties in trying to put a team together on LGK with people that you don't play with or know. And I understand that the lack of communication due to this makes it even more difficult. So here is what I'm suggesting.

To start, those of you who live in the area, get together and play. Either in a league or schedule some time for pick up. No matter what level you're playing at, there's almost no way the team is going to be successful if they've never played together. I'm currently up in the San Jose area, but I'd be more than willing to come down for some weekend games, especially if they're Saturday games. I should be transferred down to Pendleton soon.

Secondly, we need to get at the very least an e-mail roster of players who are interested in playing on a team. Phone numbers would be better, but I can understand not wanting to give that information out. This way, there's a much more direct line of communication between the potential players on the team. Beyond that, you're going to need a bigger list of people than who can just play for a specific tourney. For instance, the Marine Corps might not let me go to one tourney where as another goalie can, and it would probably be good if that person has had some ice time with the team as well. If there comes a situation where more people can play than the roster will allow, then it's whoever pays first plays. And we ALL know that there are always last minute drops, so it would be good to have players who are on stand by.

I'm still in for Vegas. I'm taking brain damage from the wife for it, but I'm in. But we need to figure out, no **** if this is going to happen or not. What's the likelyhood that we can find enough players before the tournament? Likely, I would say, but we need to have this **** figured out by COB today. If not, that's fine. It would probably make more sense to get into a tourney that is closest to the most people.

I'm on board for an LGK team, but it's going to have to be more organized than this has been.

The the original thread was started back in August with players saying
"yes" and "maybe". A new thread was started and here we are, only 6
    committed and yourself.

There is a little more to this than just signing up and playing.
    I understand the frustration.

Maybe a conference/skype call would help.

I think we all realize that. That's kind of why I was suggesting that this whole thing begin in a centralized location. Just pick up, one that everyone is closer to than Vegas. Also, if you start with a local tourney or even a Sunday night league that's close to most of the people then you don't have to worry about lodging or travel.

Also, it's one thing to ask who wants to get a team together and another to get people to commit to a certain set of dates, especially one that requires the travel and lodging also come out of pocket. That's why I suggested the e-mail roster.

I'm not pointing a finger at you or anyone else. I would just like to see this happen and it doesn't seem like a whole lot of people are being pro-active.

I still would like to see this happen..... But without 11 players total we would have a hard time. Looks like we have 7 that want to do this. PITA makes good points & I think we could do it if we had 4 or 5 more people.

I just think that it's a good possibility that we'll get enough players in time, but if we don't get the deposit in on time it won't matter.

Only two things we can do at this point. Know that we have at least half a team committed with 2 months to recruit the other 5 or so guys and sack up the deposit. OR we call the director fella and see if he has another group of guys that form half a team.
