Thread: What kinds of equipment do you like to have extras of on hand?

can I buy a couple of instances of an "A" game.

I do have a light and a dark jersey coming in the mail. I ordered some uncrested Kings home and away jerseys last week. I've also got a spare jock already.

An extra pair of socks and laces sound like good additions though.

Laces are a must, I am sure there are plenty of people here that can tell you that breaking your laces and not having extra sucks. For those who have broken laces and do not have extra laces but have tape, try this tip, it has worked for me at least twice. Get a long strip of tape and twist the hell out of it until it looks like a piece of twine, carefully thread your skates with the tape twine and tape your ankles good. This works best with a smoother tape rather than a cloth like one for the simple reason that your skates are going to get wet and possibly cause the tape to unravel or break.

Doh! I just realized that I already have an extra pair of laces since I replaced the ones that came on my skates with waxed laces. They'll do fine as an emergency backup set. Just threw then in my bag.

At this point, I probably have about 4 full sets of everything I can pull out, but when I go to tournaments, I always make sure I bring an extra pair of skates in case the runner / tuuk on my primary pair crack. Everything else you can deal with unless it catastrophically fails
