Thread: Your latest golf game

Shot 97 at desert lakes... if I could play more I'd quit blowing up on some holes.

It feels like the final scene of Caddyshack sometimes.

Shot a 67 at Camelot, but was suspended for life after I hipchecked a 16 year old out of my way on hole 9.

I'm going out with a group of friends to play Paradise Knolls in the IE. Has anyone played this course? Does it smell of bovine? Any reviews are appreciated.

They aerated the greens at the beginning of the month, so those should be pretty good about now...

Finally got out to play for the first time in 6 months. Rust is showing. 97 at Diamond Bar two weeks ago, 94 at Marshall Canyon last week. My putting is disastrous right now. Thank God for daylight savings again, so I can get back out regularly.

100+ at Ft. Lewis and Gold Mountain :( I need to learn how to putt. 3 putting doesn't match my 300yrd bombs.

Seriously. I'm pleased with averaging 2 putts a whole over most 18 holes, I had several 3's and a couple of 4's last week. Bleh....

Lake Forest is a bit of a POS. It used to be my "home" practice range. There are some sand traps and you can rent time on them, but the sand was junk and so were the "greens" that you'd be practicing hitting to. The big green was almost always crowded, and was all over the board in terms of speed week to week. Their grass range is kind of small, but I was usually able to get a spot out there. The grass was getting worse and worse, though, so I stopped going there. Hitting off of dirt is not the same as hitting off of grass.

all of the ranges around me are all mats :( , and Rec Park's practice area is a bit congested. Any other local areas where I can rent some time and just hit wedges.

I don't know that this is particularly close, but I think Oak Creek in Irvine has a large grass range and a chipping and bunker area.

My favorite practice area is out at the PGA courses in Beaumont, but that's REALLY not close... but you could go out there and spend all day on the range, in the bunkers, on the greens... Either that, or there are some good places in Palm Springs.
