Thread: Your latest golf game

90 at River View. Pretty good for me. Irons and putting were solid. Flubbed some chips and badly sliced some drives or it would have been in the 80's.

Well, not about a golf game, but I was at a local 9 hole course last week.

They were blowing their items out and I picked up a '05 Callaway Cart Bag, typically priced around $150 at this time, for 10 friggin' bucks.

What a deal!

89 from the Blues at Hidden Valley. Talk about a course where you need to hit the fairways... Good god.

Thankfully, my driver was ON today. 11 of 14 fairways hit, and only one really bad drive.

Now if I could just score..

Man, what a beautiful day. I don't care what Al Gore says, I love global warming. Wore shorts and it was about 80 degrees in December! And on a golf course to boot! Can't ask for much more.

73 today at Recreation Park...limped in with double-birdie-bogey. Man, bogies on the last hole can really leave a bad taste in your mouth.

How long did it take you to play Big Rec? I was at Lakewood on Friday (and thankfully didn't finish), and some guy in our group got a call at 4:30 PM from his friend who played El Dorado, and the friend teed off at El Dorado at 9:30, and finished at 4:30. Yep, SEVEN hours for a round...

and nice score.. I wish I could play in the 70's right now...

... It does look like El Toro Golf Course is closing down on 12/31. Signs have been posted. :( One less course for those guys who play El Toro. I wonder where they are going to go? :(

Ouch, that's brutal (although highly unlikely.) We played in only a few minutes over 4 hours at Rec yesterday.

93 at Arroyo Trabuco, after a HORRIBLE front 9 (51).

Teed off at 8, finished about 12. A nice 4 hour round to start the day. I owe the Rain Gods a GREAT deal, since MANY people flaked on their tee times. I have a 8:18 Tee time, but was moved up to 7:51 due to the lack of people there.

I must say, a little bit of drizzle on the 4th or 5th hole, and that was IT for the rain, but those damn winds in that canyon made that course a bitch today...
