MONTREAL ó The Bruins played better as the game went on last night, but in the end they werenít quite good enough.
The Bís fell behind the Montreal Canadiens by two goals early in the second period before starting to climb out of the hole, but wound up losing 2-1 at the Bell Centre.
With the win, the first-place Canadiens opened a three-point lead on the Bruins in the Northeast Division and won the season series, 3-1.
