Players hope to provide diversion
WILMINGTON — A Burlington native who starred for four years at Boston University, Jay Pandolfo’s opportunity to play for his hometown Bruins this season was supposed to be the perfect capper to what could be the end of his career.
The homecoming took a dark turn Monday because of the twin bombings at the finish line of the Boston Marathon. Pandolfo, like the rest of his teammates, was home preparing for the Bruins’ game at the Garden against the Ottawa Senators, which was postponed in the aftermath of the tragedy and later rescheduled for April 28.
