Team goal: Remain in good standing
UNIONDALE, N.Y. — The Bruins entered last night’s game against the New York Islanders in a strange position in the standings due to the quirks of the lockout-condensed schedule.
Despite owning the best winning percentage in the Eastern Conference, the Bruins resided in third place in the Northeast Division. The schedule was kind to the B’s in the first month of the season, as they had played two fewer games than any other team in the NHL.
