They're (NHL) working on it, but it's not set in stone.

Thanks for the info! Any idea how the Kings plan on fitting all these banners in the rafters? I hope they figure out away to lift it directly to it's final resting place during the ceremony unlike the original that ended up getting moved.

Saturday, February 21st. Kings @ Sharks on Hockey Night in Canada. That HAS to be an outdoor game. HNIC only shows Canadian teams during the regular season unless it's something big.
Edit: On second glance, it looks like the Rogers has changed things up. The Kings have a few non-Canadian games on HNIC. But still, look for that date.

Kings have one of the easiest schedules in the league.
Kings are tied fewest back to back games in league with 9. (Buffalo most with 19)
Kings are playing 17 games vs an opponent on their 2nd night of a back to back. (Anaheim most with 18, Philly and Phoenix fewest with 4)
Kings face only 8 teams on their 2nd night of a back to back where their opponent was off the night before. (Detroit, NY Islanders, and Wiinipeg have fewest with 6, most Columbus with 16)
And only 8th in travel for the season
Props to TimeToDoubleDip, CharlottesWebster and KatsHockey on reddit for the links.

I was just gonna say only 3 five game road trips? Schedule looks very manageable initially. I'm also pegging the feb 21 game as the likely outdoor game. Don't think they'll do it on a wednesday.

further to your point re: HNIC- Avs at Kings April 4th. Rob Blake Night?

Yeah I read the article about San Jose trying to renegotiate their TV broadcasting contract to get more money. If they cant re-do the contract they may move from San Jose to Santa Cruz. That's why the NHL is trying to intervene since they are trying to get that outdoor game set for San Jose.
