    Thank you!

It's still a work in progress, and clearly I don't have any editing experience. Still trying to learn things along the way. I finished the Middleton video, but somehow in my efforts to "perfect" it, completely bungled it up AFTER saving it... so, I have to start over. Sorry about that.

Hopefully it will be completed by tomorrow. The good news is I also have footage of Johnson and Dillon and will work on those as well... but some of you will probably already get to see them live at development camp by the time I get it all done

Jacob Middleton is complete. It's not where I would like it to be, but getting it out in a timely manner is the most important thing to me, especially since camp is coming up.

Trying to put the finishing touches on Johnson's video. This looks like a good pick as well, albeit based on one game. Had two goals, including an end-to-end rush.

For a player who doesn't skate that great and adjusting to a growth spurt, it's pretty impressive. Decent defensively. Would really benefit from going to the NCAA/next level of competition.

It's cool to see that this was recorded before the draft, and yet the "plan" he described for the 29th pick is exactly what he described they did in the post-pick interview.

The Pearson and Muzzin stuff was pretty enlightening, nature versus nurture - draft vs. development.

And the whole drafting for need thing... can't imagine who he was referring to.

Speaking of which, the Hickey comments... a few folks around here should listen carefully.
Really glad I came back to this thread to hear that interview. That was some fantastic stuff. I was also so impressed by his plan and just how thorough the team is now. How they go back over past draft picks and notes. And how they force themselves to re draft and learn lessons. The confidence that Yannetti has when he speaks is just infectious. This franchise is in such good hands right now it's ridiculous.

The development work is also very interesting to me. This is the other really key thing that was lacking within this organization for years. I know people have covered that on this board before. But I have a feeling that what is going to happen in the next year or two is that Lombardi is going to make a quantity for quality trade. Other teams are absolutely going to start taking note of our prospects and how they are developed here. Look at what other of the kids have done that have gone elsewhere. Simmonds has become a really really good player. Schenn still has some room to grow. Hickey has been by all accounts, while maybe not living up to the expectations of a 4th overall pick, fairly serviceable on the Island. I am very curious to see what Vey does up in Vancouver. If he is productive up there that's a feather in the cap of the development staff. If a prospect works his way up but can't crack the team simply because he is blocked I think other teams are going to start to find that very enticing. I wouldn't be shocked at all if Lombardi ends up trading 2-4 prospects for a stud young winger or dman in the near future.

And finally on a pure curiosity basis, I swear I remember seeing something that said the organization felt they really blew 2 of their picks. I can't remember if that was on a site like the Insider or just speculation here. I am not sure they view Hickey as a bust. I can deduce teubert is one.. is there anyone else? The Kings draft record overall is obviously looking pretty damn stellar under this crew.

    Steven Johnson's video is up.

Also (hoping it's not spam), but I will put all the videos in the Development Camp thread so people can find them all located in one spot. Just have to do Alec Dillon now.

Might warrant a separate thread for it later, but the preliminary reports about prospects to watch for the 2015 NHL Draft from Central Scouting is already out.

Good to see another Slovenian make it on that list. Luka Zorko is a 6'5 200lbs defenseman playing in Russian juniors.

So this is slated to get unstickied here shortly.

You kids want it merged with the Development thread instead?
at the draft party a couple of years ago, and under a considerable haze, i heard Birdman yell out the following (about 4 or 5 times, i think) - "don't marry yourselves to players!" he went on to reiterate that idea more than once on the boards, and i believe it to be absolutely sage.

To me, it's what you and everyone else wants. I just appreciate you keeping it stickied as long as you have.

My personal suggestion is to let it go. There's a lot of non Kings prospects in this thread that would add unnecessary clutter. But I trust your judgment
