Thread: Which 3 LA Kings would you want with you in a zombie apocalypse?

After way too much watching of "Walking Dead", I began to wonder----Which Kings would have the right qualities
to survive the zombie apocalypse? Guys like the WD characters Rick, or Glen or Darryl----Tough, smart, courageous guys.
These would be "character guys", but also guys who wouldn't hesitate to hit an incoming zombie with a baseball bat or machete, even if it were their
own beloved Uncle Frank, cousin Angie, or whoever.

I'd pick Mike Richards, Matt Greene and Rob Scuderi as my fellow zombie-fighters.

Worst choices?
Drew Doughty-- (he'd see the zombies feeding & might get jealous).
Dustin Penner-- (if he saw his divorced wife come back as a zombie, he might want a reconciliation,
resulting in him almost certainly getting bit).

A second question for all.

Have you eve had one of those nights where your friends Jose and Patron come to visit, the next morning you wake up, the brain a little foggy and you lay there in bed thinking..There is no way in hell I went on to a hockey forum and asked which 3 Kings players would you want in the Zombie apocalypse with you ?

As the brain slowly starts to clear, the fog lifts and yep you did post it, but hang on, it's still early, maybe nobody has seen it yet so you can delete the thread before anyone gets to take a look.

Then it dawns on you...There are people on here all night and they have certainly seen it and it's 2pm, you slept the morning away so you are now known as the Zombie guy.


It's ok though, we have all been there (Orpheus more than most), we've done it(Orpheus more than most), we regret it (except Orpheus, he regrets nothing)....But it doesn't matter....The Kings won the Cup, there is no NHL and it gives the LGK'ers someone to abuse for the next few hours until another Bettman thread pops up.

Matt Greene - Big Guy. Strong Guy. Funny Guy. Doesn't strike me as a squeamish guy. And he'll know where the beer is.

Anze Kopitar - There will come a time when one of us will need to go into a zombie-infested room or area. Anze stands the best chance of making it in and out without being noticed.

Mike Richards - When s*** goes down, he's tough, does the little things that need to get done. And he's not afraid to get a little physical or dirty.


Honorable Mentions (in no particular order)
Trevor Lewis - The kid does things that need to get done and is willing to put himself on the line if necessary.
Justin Williams - The guy has huge man-balls. He grows a grizzly beard. In a survival situation, I wouldn't doubt him.
Dustin Brown - He learns things. He's established that he can follow instructions, but is willing to take the lead. And in moments, he can come up huge.
Jonathan Quick - When things fall apart, Jon Quick has the mental toughness and tenacity to save... the situation.
