You think he gets shipped off this season so he can get more playing time elsewhere?

I think he will get shipped off, either mid-season or close to the deadline. With Quick signed for 10 years, Bernier won't want to wait around. Besides, his value won't get any higher than now, since his contract will end this year.

It would suck to see him go, but I understand he must be frustrated with such limited starts.

I can't shake the feeling that Quick will get hurt within a season of trading Bernier. I know the guy wants to get real playing time, but I selfishly like having a goaltender with starting potential as Quick's backup.

Can't help but think the Flames are one of those teams. They just lost Kipper... Dunno for how long, but if it's bad I think Deano should be the first one shopping him.

Two things for me.

Bernier better pick up his game if he wants to be moved.

Secondly I would move Bernier for Iginla straight up.

IMO he needs to be traded asap because his value will only keep dropping because it is obvious he won't see much game time. Maybe 5 games this season and next season about 15. Sitting on the bench for his potential is worthless right now and I really want to see him go somewhere and see what he can really do. Since he has yet to be showcased like Schneider on Vancouver, he probably won't fetch more then a 2nd or 3rd round pick I will bet. Can't really count his Stanley Cup experience being he never played in any games. Plus his only time playing this year wasn't anything to write home about.

People here who think he can land more, especially the Iginla for him straight up, is crazy. I really like JB, but he isn't developing anymore riding pine for 3 years now.
