Tim told Uncle Phil he wanted to move on to something else. Uncle Phil said let me sell it first.

Uncle Phil didn't like the offers, and pulled it back, went to Plan B.

WT? TL was just as passionate of a Kings fan as the rest of us. Hmmmm, I wonder if he's landed another high level executive position elsewhere. I loved watching him go bonkers over the questionable penalty calls from the refs.

Or, the whole NFL/Farmers Field thing was simply a Leiweke ploy to pump up the value of AEG and sell it.

With the hopes of securing an NFL in the short term now gone, it's plan B.

I think he's just referring to AEG as a whole. Remember that the Kings are very small part of the AEG empire. I'm sure Anschutz was still very much a big part of running that business before he decided to sell. Now he's just resuming his duties.

Doubt it was a ploy. It was probably designed to assure people that even tho Anschutz was looking to sell, everything else would be stable. They really are trying to bring the NFL back to LA and build it there.. there is a ton of money in that.
