Thread: After only 48 games and POs, we should call it, The "Stan Cup"? (But NOT for Kings)

The way I figure, if any other team besides The Kings wins it this season, it won't seem truly equal to an 82-game
season Cup. More like, The Stan Cup.

But if The Kings are able to repeat, everybody will just figure we were still the best team after already
winning it in a regular 82-game season/Cup POs in 2012, and would have won it anyway, even in a regular length season in 2013.
That's if we repeat.

So, in this way, a Cup victory this season would have more meaning and legitimacy for The Kings, than any other team in the League.

For other teams, after 48 games, it's The Stan Cup.

For The Kings, however, it would still be The Stanley Cup.

There was a time when the Stan Cup would've been enough for me.

The Devils won it in a 48 game season and you never hear that it didn't mean as much.I think any team who wins will deserve it.You still have to get through 4 rounds of playoffs.

Since its a 48 game season, then all teams should play half assed for a half assed prize. Got it.

I'll take a Cup won with four playoff series victories over one with only two.

I'll take a Cup won by a team that had to finish ahead of 7 teams in their conference than one won by a team that had to finish ahead of 1 team in their division.
