Yep...Mr. Perfect was in Ventura first..then Northridge.

And not one hair out of place...

He does have great hair. Must go to the same person John Stamos goes to.

And Kopi confirmed Martinez speaks less Spanish than Penner.

Wish I could have made the trip. I would also like to ask 'The Garv' how boss he thinks Stollie is.

Well, they said it was in the "hockey section", but I didn't actually see any hockey gear there. Didn't really look around, though...had to hurry to work after the signing. The blurred lady works for Sports Authority, I think.

I was eating at Capriccio's in Ventura at that exact time. Wish I knew too.

I thought this was going to be the thread where someone chimes in about how Voynov is better and Hickey could easily take Alec's place.

Alec went 6/6 for 12 pts in 51 games last season.

He should easily double that this coming season.

And I love comparisons with Voynov.:hungry:

Voynov is a bit faster/quicker, but otherwise not really a better overall skater than Martinez,
who is smooth, fast & powerful, in any direction.

Voynov is a bit smaller & not as strong as Alec, who hits more often.

Voynov shoots better overall. although Alec is learning he
can produce chances off his "lob" shot;Both are good passers.

Both have steady hands with the puck, and take precious few careless risks.

Right now, it looks as though Voynov will score more pts offensively, but
both will be very good NHL D-Men (who are much of the way there already).

Even aside from Doughty, for the 2nd and 3rd pairs? C'mon.
Those 2 guys are the envy of the League.
