Vey could make Stoll expendable...

Carcillo, Frattin, and Fraser all need to go once Stoll and Carter are back.
Brown, Kopitar, Williams
King, Carter, Richards
Once Clifford is back, he and Nolan can battle it out for a spot

He needs to do better defending the cycle and winning battles against the boards. But yes, Vey could be a much more economical alternative to JS. The good news/bad news with all these injuries is it looks like the kids will get the opportunity to prove themselves over a sustained period.

It'll be a fairly easy decision, you send them all down when we are fully healthy again. We've seen the last week how quickly injuries can pile up. How do we call up if we trade a few players to make room for these three and a couple more injuries happen? Do we really want to count on 5-6 really young kids to play a full NHL season and get us into the playoffs? I think they're fine where they are, ready to step right in and contribute when injuries happen and carry the Monarchs when the Kings are healthy. Another year dominating the AHL together, building chemistry will pay dividends in years to come. They'll replace veterans soon enough. I can see maybe one player being moved for Toffoli but don't expect more moves to make room for Vey/Pearson.

This is what the Kings really need. Good young talent that are hungry to make their mark and win the cup. The veterans are not playing with that desire. i hope the Sutter really give these three a legit shot at contributing to the team. Getting these youngsters involved is great for the Kings taking that next step.

Ellerby waived = Toffoli. So no moves are needed unless we want to keep Vey and Pearson here full time.

This line was on for the 2nd and 3rd goal which was pretty nice and they already have chemistry from Manchester so thats good

Blinded by the win. Vey and Pearson are still pretty rough around the edges, especially in the D zone. They need to be better along the boards, better body position etc. But they're still green, so by no means am I knocking them. Just don't get ahead of yourselves.
Toffoli though... I dream of the day when they call Carter, Toffoli-lite.

Toffoli needs to stay, he's proven every game that he has suited up in that he belongs in LA.
Vey has been decent but inconsistent. Pearson looks good for 2014-15. I'm interested to see Jones get a start. Guys had a pretty good start in the AHL this year. Either way the future looks bright!
