A lot of fun tonight, and I think all three guys will be NHL regulars. But right now Toffoli is the only one I see sticking in the near term.

They played pretty well all things considered, but the test really is how they handle 10-20 games, not just one. Lets remember too that we just played NYI, not the Blues or the Hawks. I'm really excited for all of them, and i'm excited to see how they do the next several weeks, but we're not just going to throw other players away to keep these youngsters here. If anything comes of this, it should be that developing young players, allowing them to mature, and having them available for call up in case of injuries is a huge benefit to the team. The guys that many are advocating trade/waive, aren't making a whole lot of money to begin with, so it's not like keeping the kids here helps o that front either. DL has preached a lot about patience, so i can't see him getting as excited as we are about a couple games.

7 Points in 5 games for Toffoli including 3 goals. Not bad...not bad at all.

And he is playing well in his own zone, not a liability.

One of the best opinions I have read on this site, because it's not just a fans opinion, or one that works on NHL 14!!

I think Toffoli has seen the last of Manchester. Not so for Pearson and Vey, but this is the latter two's first real cup of coffee in the NHL. The Kings pattern in the Lombardi era has been to bring up young players for a brief stretch to expose them to the NHL, then send them down to refine their game before recalling them for good. Quick, Voynov, King, Toffoli all went through that. Of course, if Vey and Pearson continue to hold their own, then, well I'm glad I'm not DL.

And one day they will turn into Kopi and Brown and want them gone and traded!
