Anschutz Considering Selling AEG?!?

This is a political move for more bargaining power with the city and Farmers Field. Something sounds fishy here.

I think if they can get better terms on the Football Field deal, secure a team then that would be the time to sell. Why suddenly sell in the middle of negotiating this stadium deal? And announcing to sell a week before an important city council vote? LA is a very important piece of their holdings...if not THE most important. BTW, I'm not talking about the Kings.

BECAUSE THEY ARE A 13 BILLION DOLLAR DIVISION THAT ANSCHUTZ IS TRYING TO UNLOAD

ahem. I'm assuming that he sees the end of the road coming and is trying to clear books\ease debt load for heirs\whatever.

This is a company that already owns football fields, stadiums, and arenas. I doubt that they are counting on an la stadium to cement their legacy.

I am betting they announcement from AEG is related to this. Why make the announcement when the NHL had just locked out out team, I think they knows it not going to pass or know there is no way in hell they fulfill the obligations they have made to the new stadium.

I still sat the City of Industry/Majestic stadium is a better deal and has a better chance of working

this I absolutely agree with. The idea of a downtown stadium has always bugged me. Seems like being out in the middle of nowhere is better than the downtown core.
