Actually, the gravel pit in Irwindale is not really out in the middle of nowhere. Try a commute on the 210 between the IE and the SGV at rush hour. Or the 605 or the 57. I agree a stadium in that area of down town will blow balls, but....

Ok, that's different, however, the thought of 72,000 - 76,000 fans trying to get out of the LA Live area after a game is just nasty, the one thing I will give the Yotes is leaving the Jobbing.com arena is so easy compared to Staples, hell we were on the road back to Vegas quicker than it takes to get out of the parking structure after a Kings game.

(Reuters) - Los Angeles billionaire Patrick Soon-Shiong is putting together an investor group to make a bid for Anschutz Entertainment Group, the LA-based sports and real estate company, according to three sources with knowledge of the deal.

Soon-Shiong, whose fortune is estimated at more than $7.2 billion, has joined forces for the AEG bid with private equity firm Guggenheim Partners, which recently led a local group in the purchase of the Los Angeles Dodgers baseball club. Soon-Shiong and Guggenheim are expected to bring in additional partners, two of the sources said.

Well, didn't read all of this thread so don't know if it's been mentioned that AEG just might have a little problem selling right now. Seems the Michael Jackson mess might result in some huge law suit regarding AEG's knowledge of his health and treatment.
