A buddy of mine was once driving down the road and saw a huge pothole in front on him. His first reaction was to swerve into on coming traffic. While he was able to avoid any sort of accident, and made it out unscathed that day, he fell to his death rock climbing later that year.

There are no tax dollars being used, although i believe there is relatively small loan. That being said, I do think part of the reason the NFL isn't super excited about this stadium deal is that it's NOT being funded by the tax payers. Any potential owner would much rather wait until they can get some poor tax payers to buy them a new stadium, be it in Los Angels or which ever city they are threatening to leave.
