Jerry Bruckheimer would be one of my first guesses as a potential new owner.
I am repeating myself, But I will start some evil things, if the new owners of AEG sell the team and then the team moves.... I know it wont happen, but I have that in the pit of my stomach
I wonder how much season tickets will cost in Kansas City.
AEG will sell for what the market will bear, and its likely going to push Uncle Phil north of a net worth of $20B.
This is what he does. He acquires and builds up a property and then sells it. With the Kings now Stanley Cup Champions, there is no better time for him to sell the whole enchilada.
What would suck is that an owner comes in and breaks it apart and divests out of the sports businesses, and we wind up with the new Frank McCourt owning the team and being a total cheap ass.
at the draft party a couple of years ago, and under a considerable haze, i heard Birdman yell out the following (about 4 or 5 times, i think) - "don't marry yourselves to players!" he went on to reiterate that idea more than once on the boards, and i believe it to be absolutely sage.

I'm still confused as to how people think that the kings are somehow the crown jewel of AEG. There might be a new owner, but the kings are still just a rounding error in the worth of AEG. If someone is going to spend billions of dollars they don't care about 150 million.
