Kevin Weekes is way better.
Well, for anyone who's followed hockey for more than a couple of years, all color commentary is fairly redundant. I really wish that was enough bandwidth where providers could provide an additional channel for each game without any announcers. Just give me the ambient sounds, like being at the game.
Don't get me wrong. I've followed and appreciated Bob Miller since he started with the Kings; he was, of course, indispensable on radio. But at this point in my life and with the games in front of me on a huge HD display, I would prefer just the sounds.
That is what I was thinking the other night when the audio was only picking up the on ice mikes for a few minutes. It was kind of kewl. Not like that FSW experiment a few years ago with the cameras at ice level with no commentary. That made me dizzy.
The no play by play was more like being at a game.
Isn't he everyones favorite #11 ?
