Blip? I dunno, those dozen or so games he played with the Kings were ****ing traumatic for my young Kings fan self. Acquiring Carter during a playoff push was exciting until the Kings completely drove off the cliff, with Carter doing nothing to slow down the car. I was even at the last game in San Jose when they blew a two goal lead with 30 seconds left in the game before losing in OT.

Traumatic times, I say. Traumatic.

To me there is a big difference. Johnson had an unfortunate accident which led to losing Deadmarsh. He was a descent player who was very nice to fans and press. Carter was a lousy player when he was here and was one of the most unfriendly players with fans I have seen after practices, and that includes a preseason he was here.

I am actually completely onboard with what you are saying. I actually never understood the CJ hatred because, as you said, his moment of infamy was purely accidental. Just wanted to stoke the flames!

I spent the last 20+ years of my life rooting for this stupid team and most of that time they were terrible. TERRIBLE.

They finally win a Stanley Cup and are stocked with exciting young players who appear to enjoy playing here and are signed long term and you want to start dragging all the old crappy memories from the terrible years and shoving them back down my throat?

I agree with Doc. A lot of the names mentioned made me want to puke in my mouth.

I puke in my mouth every Saturday night, after a lot of cold ones!!! You get use to it .
