The Stanley Cup Champion Banner or will the Western Conference Championship Banner be raised along with it? I wonder because the Lakers have 17 Championship banners but none of their many Conference Championship Banners are raised anywhere in the building. Anyone have a good idea or know how it works for the NHL?

I think it "works for the NHL" however each team wants it to work. My GUESS is that we'll get WCF and SCC banners. If the Kings get a few more then maybe the preliminary banners start coming down. Who knows?

Speaking only for myself, I tend not to get into this sort of nonsense with opposing fans. I'm just happy that no one will be able to lord their Cup wins over us anymore. Although I suppose teams like MTL can always play the "we've got a million of them and you've only got one" card.

Ask my wife how she felt after the Red Sox finally broke through in 2004. Hell yes, I want more! Do I expect a run of 5 in a row or something like that? That would be nice, but I'm not unrealistic. As far as next year specifically, like everyone else, I'd like to see the scoring pick up and more consistency throughout the year. Avoiding injuries again would be nice too.

I want to make Canuck fans cry.

1) Keep it short and sweet. Raise one banner only. Nothing else needs to be said.

2) No need to talk any trash at all. If any comes our way, just keep quiet and point to the newly-raised banner.

3) Waited a long time for the first one. If they win it again, you bet I'll be overjoyed! But if it doesn't happen, Kings fans will always have 2012. That said, given how this team came together (and was kept together) and its relative youth, it would not surprise me if they won it again at some point during the next three seasons.

Calo's is way better.

Traditionally, teams hang division, conference and cup champ banners. I like this...this is how it should be.

Regarding question #3 - I want to be the FIRST team in Southern California to win the Stanley Cup a SECOND time! :)

#3 - Well we have the exact same team on the ice as those who were on when the Cup was won. So I expect them to finish first in their division and at least 2nd in the conference. I am mostly worried about those who have been question marks all last season until the deadline if they can continue playing like that or will they go back to how they were. I am not sure they will win the Cup again as winning back to back is extremely hard, but depending on health I think it is possible and semi expect it.

If Richards and Carter can play like they did in the post season and like they did in Philly and if Brown continues where he left off, the Kings will be even more deadly. I expect Carter/Richards to have at least in the 60pts total which I think is very fair when they can be in the 70+.

I really want to see Kopitar compete for the league pt leader or at least break the 100 mark but I still feel without an elite sniper on his wing, he won't hit that mark. Not really complaining per say because he still rocks and we have 2 kick butt top lines, but just saying I want to see him take it even further but he just needs that winger. Maybe Toffoli when he comes up. Maybe getting someone like Heatley when he hits the market. I dunno. Either way the team is amazing and hopefully it continues.

The BK poncho is better in the sense that its ****ING AWESOME!!! But it still doesn't change the fact that Calo is slipping in his obsession with all things hockey+Mexico.

I'd prefer the franchise take a "we don't celebrate WC championships here" mentality. Just hang the one that matters.
