Not discounting what Potomski did, but DK was an *******.

at the draft party a couple of years ago, and under a considerable haze, i heard Birdman yell out the following (about 4 or 5 times, i think) - "don't marry yourselves to players!" he went on to reiterate that idea more than once on the boards, and i believe it to be absolutely sage.

I never knew that there was such issues with Khristich (aside from the Potomski incident). For a while during the mid 90's he was one of the better guys on the team.
It's telling that none of the teammates came to the aid of the team's best scorer. I suspect they must have observed or heard what precipitated the incident and felt the beat-down was justified.

totally off topic but oh man I forgot about the wild days of these types of deals GM's used to do
Back on topic I had totally forgotten about this episode. Crappy teams always have more than their fare share of this crap at all levels.Lacroix always told people to wait and see, but he wasn't sitting around waiting for something to happen. Last week, he signed Forsberg to a retroactive three-year deal worth $13.539 million.
