I wonder the last time Sandy Moger came up on this site.
I don't know, but somewhere Sandy Moger smiles

Saw the same thing with Ziggy. He'd get drilled and nobody would care. Lappy, Norstrom, or someone else got drilled and the team would stand up instantly.

I got this poster at a Roadrunners game in '95 against the Soviet Wings team. RIP Barry.

Me too, but that's likely because he came in the trade that brought us Matty, Lappy and Ray Ferraro.

Yet DiPietro was a thorn in our side in the 1993 finals. Not as bad as Leclair, but he was effective checking against the Robitaille group.
at the draft party a couple of years ago, and under a considerable haze, i heard Birdman yell out the following (about 4 or 5 times, i think) - "don't marry yourselves to players!" he went on to reiterate that idea more than once on the boards, and i believe it to be absolutely sage.

Typically, you don't have your enforcers pounding your scorers, so there must have been a reason.
I remember the situation well. He was room mates with Sean O'Donnell at the time, and more importantly an original Anaheim Bullfrog. Apparently, Kristich was an Ahole, crappy teammate and a cancer in the room. It happened at practice BP tried to carveout DK's eye with his stick. Kristich had to have eye surgery.

I asked Rob Cowie about this incident as Cowie was good friends with Potomski. Potomski's nickname was Potsie and evidently, Potsie held teammates to a very high standard about what it meant to be a teammate and Kristich failed to live up to those standards. Cowie said that Khristich wasn't the world's best teammate by any stretch. Cowie talking about playing in Italy is a pretty good story as well.

Speaking of the Anaheim Bullfrogs....not only did they have Potomoski but also noted enforcer Darren Langdon on their roster at various times along with Darren Banks, who had a cup of coffee with the Boston Bruins once upon a time if memory serves.
