No, Center Ice won't be showing this game since it's on national television. Sucks, I know.

Not sure if this helps anyone, but here in Colorado (DirecTV) It's on at 1pm (noon PST) on NBC. Listing shows Blackhawks at Kings.
We will be going to the 2nd game of the season at Pepsi Center on the 22nd, my one and only time to see them this season.
I will be one pissed off mofo if they dont show the banner ceremony on tv.
If a ram is a sheep and a mule is an ass,why is a ram in the ass a goose?
Was checking NHL NET and they have a hour gap from 11-12 that says TBA
Live from Las Vegas....All Sarcasm all the time!!!!
I hope they show it all over the country. That would suck if it were limited to half the country :(
Per this article on NBCNHL you are right.
NHL on NBC: Penguins-Flyers, Kings-’Hawks highlight opening day broadcast | ProHockeyTalk
"Coverage begins at 3 p.m. ET on Saturday, Jan. 19 with NHL Live — programming will include the Kings’ banner raising, celebrating the first Cup win in franchise history."
"Following the ceremony, NBC will offer regional coverage of either LA-Chicago (puck drop at 3:25 p.m. ET) or Pittsburgh-Philly (3:35 p.m. ET)."
I would imagine those of us on the east coast will have to watch Simmer and the Flyers. I'm not going to lie, I am bummed that I will miss the game. I imagine that Kings Vision will have the ceremony.
Someone at the game please record the banner ceremony just incase it doesn't air so that fans out of town (like me) will be able to watch it
If you haven't developed a non-sanctioned method of watching every single Kings game you're just sadly behind the times. The NHL doesn't care if fans can see all the games they want to so you have tom take matters into your own hands.
Those who would give up essential liberty to purchase a little temporary safety, deserve neither liberty nor safety - B. Franklin.
Folks, the answer is YES, we all will see the banner raising ceremony nationwide on NBC.
OPENING WEEK: NBC drops the puck on its coverage at 3 p.m. ET on Saturday, January 19 with NHL Live, featuring the Stanley Cup champion L.A. Kings’ banner raising. Following the ceremony, NBC offers regional coverage of the Kings hosting the Chicago Blackhawks (puck drop at 3:25 p.m. ET) and the Philadelphia Flyers hosting the Pittsburgh Penguins (3:35 p.m. ET).
Answer is YES to this as well. Have been a Center Ice subscriber (Kings fan in Boston) since 1998. In the old days the regional broadcasts would not be shown but in the past 4 or 5 seasons they have shown them. So expect to see the Kings game if you are out of LA market!
